More Terry Richardson.
I had no idea that fashion photographer Terry Richardson was in fact responsible for so many of the advertising campaigns that I’ve seen (and love). To name a few: Tom Ford, Diesel Global Warming, Sisley, Harper’s Bazaar [Jan 2011], and Rolling Stone [Mar 2009], not to mention the countless celebrities he’s shot— even President Barack Obama.
What makes me sad, though, is how thoroughly creepy he seems to be. The worst part about it is that the fashion industry has made absolutely no moves to change, or at least confront, Terry Richardson’s inappropriate behavior. Case in point below:
“In the same Observer story, Richardson is described as having an intern, a NYU communications major identified only by her first name, Alex, whose duties included doing his dishes and posing for photos fellating Richardson from the kitchen trash can while wearing a tiara that reads “Slut.” This is a man who once said of breaking into modeling, “It’s not who you know, it’s who you blow. I don’t have a hole in my jeans for nothing.” — Jezebel, 2010
